(BOSTON) – Score another kudos for rock singer/songwriter Sarah Borges, whose song, “I’ll Show You How,” will be featured in the series premiere of the new NBC show, “The Night Shift,” on Tuesday, May 27 at 10/9c.

“It’s such a thrill to have a song that was born in our bedrooms be a part of a national television series. ‘I’ll Show You How’ is one of my favorite parts of my live set, and I can’t wait to hear it played on its biggest stage yet,” says a delighted Borges.

“I’ll Show You How” is one of the fan favorites from the CD The Stars Are Out, which was her 2009 album under Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles. The Washington Post had this to say of “I’ll Show You How” at the time of that album’s release: “Borges most defines her style on her originals, which stand up remarkably well… “I’ll Show You How” blends a feisty attitude with a twangy sound.”

Likewise, UltimateGuitar.com also picked “I’ll Show You How” as a standout track from The Stars Are Out. “The album ships the listener right back to Ramones-stylized jukebox rock with the steely blues-rock cuts of guitarists Lyle Brewer and Borges wrapping around the punk-inspired dance grooves of bassist Binky and drummer Rob Dulaney in tracks like ‘I’ll Show You How.’”

Twangville.com praised “I’ll Show You How” as well, saying it’s “taken right out of a raucous roadhouse with its dirty, bluesy harmonica, supplied by Dennis Brennan.” The love for the five-year old song didn’t stop there as Ink19 noted Borges’ musical range especially on the “killer rockabilly ‘I’ll Show You How.”

Meanwhile, Borges is gearing up for her first solo release since parting ways with the Broken Records. The 10-track Radio Sweetheart drops on June 24 via her new deal with Lonesome Day Records, home to her regular touring mates and sometime backing band, Girls Guns And Glory. The album was recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound, which is owned by Dave Minehan, singer/guitarist of Boston rock legends the Neighborhoods. Steve Berlin, who played saxophone and keyboards with Los Lobos for 30 years, produced the record.

“I’m really proud of this record,” Borges about Radio Sweetheart. “It’s so gratifying and it was important to me to do what I love and I’m not going to stop again. I don’t care how it does; its something I had to do to make myself feel like a whole person again and I think there is a song on here for everyone. It doesn’t feel like a new me, but it feels like the old me is finally back.”
