BOONEVILLE,
KY (3.21.06) Lonesome Day Records is proud to announce Lou Reid
and Carolina's Single "Time" climbed to the #1 spot
on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine's Top Single Chart and the Album
"Time" climbed to #2. The single, written by John Cadley
has been an instant favorite with radio and fans alike with lyrics
that depict how fast life goes by. The title cut includes Lou
Reid, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Harold Nixon, Ron Stewart and
Randy Kohrs. Other guests on the album include Jerry Douglas,
James Mitchell and Chris Wood.
Although
Lou Reid has performed on the Grand Ole Opry on numerous occasions,
Lou Reid and Carolina will make their debut on April 28 on the
famous stage.
Lou
Reid has been a mainstay in bluegrass music with both his distinctive
high tenor vocals and instrumental talents. He's had a very impressive
career including being a founding member of Doyle Lawson and
Quicksilver and performing in Ricky Skaggs' band. He has
also performed with Bill Monroe, Keith Whitley and many more.
Although Lou fronts his band "Carolina" now, he still
performs dates with the Seldom Scene and the award-winning
group Longview. This is Reid's first number one hit, although
he has had previous #2 chart hits.
"Time"
was produced by Ron Stewart and Lou Reid. Stewart also Engineered
the project along with Randall Deaton the Executive Producer.
